DC Kupwara reviews progress under Mission Yuva

KUPWARA, SEPTEMBER 18: The District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) Kupwara, chaired by Deputy Commissioner (DC), Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, was convened today to review progress under the Mission YUVA.
Following detailed scrutiny and deliberations, the Committee approved 764 eligible cases to receive financial assistance and capacity-building support for entrepreneurship development.
During the discussion, DC directed to focus on specific potential groups, including college students, Self Help Group members especially Lakhpati Didis, Vishwakarma-sponsored artisans, and existing nano-enterprises for upgradation.
He directed that Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) must be prepared meticulously to minimize the risk of failure of business units and emphasised on the need for continuous capacity building of applicants.
DC highlighted the significance of Mission YUVA in empowering local youth and promoting sustainable livelihoods.
He called upon concerned departments to intensify awareness activities and ensure maximum participation from aspiring entrepreneurs across the district.
DC also conducted a review of bank branch-wise progress and directed LDM to monitor the disbursement process of sanctioned cases on a daily basis.
DLIC reaffirmed its commitment to supporting youth-led enterprises and promoting self-employment in Kupwara.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Kupwara, Mufti Fareed Ud Din; Assistant Director Employment, Lead District Manager, officers from Social Welfare, JKEDI, and other relevant officials.
