DC Kupwara reviews progress of PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana2142 households installed Solar Roof Top so far in the districtKUPWARA, FEBRUARY 20: Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Shrikant Suse, today chaired a review meeting to assess the progress achieved under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana in the district.During the meeting, the DC reviewed rooftop solar installations achieved against target in both ED divisions- Kupwara and Handwara. It was informed that 2,142 rooftop solar installations have been completed across the district. He stressed that the pace of installations must be accelerated further and directed both Executive Engineers to regularly monitor progress. He also reviewed branch wise status of sanctioning and disbursal of loan cases and subsequent steps taken by vendors for rooftop solar installations. The DC also called for removing bottlenecks directing banks and KPDCL to work in close coordination for seamless case processing. Further, he appealed general public to avail the benefit of the scheme as it is major step towards reducing electricity bills with adoption of clean energy. The meeting was attended by the Chief Planning Officer (CPO), Lead District Manager (LDM), Executive Engineers of KPDCL Kupwara & Handwara , Cluster Head JK bank , District Manager CSC, and other concerned officials.
