DC Kathua reviews physical, financial progress of PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control works

KATHUA, OCTOBER 16: Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rajesh Sharma today chaired a meeting to review the physical and financial progress of works being executed under the Public Health Engineering (PHE), Irrigation and Flood Control sectors in the district.
The meeting was attended by ADDC, Chief Planning Officer, Executive Engineers and officers of line departments.
The DC took a detailed review of the status of borewell and tubewell works besides assessing the progress of projects being executed under AMRUT 2.0 and Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM). He also reviewed the progress of works being implemented under UT and District Capex budgets.
The DC further reviewed the status of mechanical works and ongoing works on electric substations, besides taking note of the new works undertaken by the Flood Control Division Kathua under UT Capex and NABARD. The meeting also discussed the progress of works under the Irrigation Division Kathua being implemented under District Capex, UT Capex and CDS 2025-26.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to ensure timely execution of all approved works while maintaining the prescribed quality standards. He further instructed the departments to keep the District Administration regularly informed about the progress of ongoing works and report any issues or bottlenecks for timely resolution.
