DC Kathua reviews patient care, Measles & Rubella immunization at Rogi Kalyan Samiti, DTF meetings
KATHUA, NOVEMBER 22: To review the functioning and patient care facilities available at Associated Hospital of Government Medical College, Kathua and measures taken with respect to the facility up gradation of the hospital, a meeting of Governing Body of “Rogi Kalyan Samiti” (RKS) was today held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner, Kathua Rahul Pandey here at Meeting Hall of DC Office Complex.
DDC Chairperson Kathua Mahan Singh, Vice Chairperson Raghunandan Singh also attended the meeting as special invitees.
On the occasion, the DC, who is also the Chairman “Rogi Kalyan Samiti ” was apprised about the progress and performance registered by the Institution under different indicators. He was also informed about various issues and requirements for the infrastructure up-gradation and overall advancement of the healthcare system in the Hospital.
The DC also took stock of the medical facilities being provided to the patients at the Hospital and the functioning of the Hospital, besides discussed threadbare the measures required with respect to future planning for up gradation of the Hospital.
The DC directed the concerned to follow the objectives as envisaged in RKS guidelines and stressed on resource generation and strengthening transparent mechanism in utilization of funds.
The DC assured all possible support from the Administration for infrastructure development of the Hospital to further improve patient care in the hospital. The committee also approved the purchase of equipments
After detailed deliberations the meeting approved the agenda points viz improvement of hospital infrastructure, sanitation and hygiene in hospitals, repair and renovation work of doctors OPD, installation of benches for patients/ attendants, installation CCTV for surveillance, renovation of Bio Medical Waste Facility etc.
Later, the DC Kathua also chaired the meeting of the District Task Force (DTF) for Measles & Rubella Elimination by 2023.
Detailed deliberations were held during the meeting wherein a brief account regarding status of Measles & Rubella through the medium of PowerPoint presentation by Deputy CMO Kathua.
The DC appreciated the efforts of the health department towards achieving 100% immunization in the district and advised the health department to remain vigilant in near future so as to achieve the goal of elimination of Measles & Rubella.
