#DC Ganderbal inspects preparations for #Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra enroute to Holy Cave via#Baltal
GANDERBAL, MAY 09: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir on Sunday took an extensive tour from Baltal Sonamarg to Holy Cave to have firsthand appraisal of arrangements being put in place by various departments for smooth conduct of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2022 via Baltal route.
The DC inspected various arrangements at Baltal Base Camp and enroute including provisions of drinking water, power supply, Medicare facilities, upgradation of track from Baltal to Holy Cave, upgradation of foot bridges, repair of railings, lodging facilities for yatries, etc. being put in place from Baltal base camp to Holy Cave.
While inspecting the facilities at Baltal base camp, the DC directed the concerned to install good quality toilets in requisite numbers, efficient drainage system with well laid paths and proper sanitation besides, provision for adequate parking facilities with proper lighting.
On inspection of arrangements at holy Cave and en-route, the DC exhorted upon the officers to expedite the process of works so that all arrangements are put in place before the commencing of Yatra. He sought interdepartmental collaboration and coordination at all levels to ensure smooth conduct of Yatra 2022.
During the visit, the DC was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Farooq Ahmad Baba, CEO SDA, Executive Engineers of Jal Shakti and KPDCL and representatives of other line departments.
