COO Himayat visits skill centre at Budgam
Highlights significance of acquiring different skills during interaction with trainees
BUDGAM, JULY 01: Chief Operating Officer (COO), Himayat, Deepika K Sharma here today visited a non residential training centre established under Himayat Scheme.
During her visit at the centre, the COO interacted with training centre staff of the PIA and trainees undergoing skill training/induction in various courses viz Self Employed Tailor, Retail Trainee Associate and Customer Relationship Voice.
While interacting with trainees, COO highlighted the significance of acquiring different skills and importance of training enabling them to earn a decent living and make them self reliant.
She maintained that the training would not only help them in channelizing their potential in the right direction but also keep them abreast with current market requirements.
During the interaction, success stories of women entrepreneurs were also shared with the trainees aiming at encouraging the trainees and boosting their morale.
The COO also addressed the concerns of the trainees and staff during her visit to the training centre. She asked the trainees to focus on the main purpose of the programme rather than focussing on allied benefits under the programme.
