BURGLARY CASE SOLVED BY RS PURA POLICE STATION, STOLEN GOLD/SILVER ORNAMENTS RECOVERED, TWO ARRESTED

In a swift breakthrough, Police Station R.S. Pura solved a burglary case within days, recovering stolen gold and silver ornaments worth ₹51,400 and arresting two accused involved in the crime.
On 17.08.2025, complainant Inder Chand S/o Bishan Das R/o Bagga Marh, Tehsil R.S. Pura reported that on 11.08.2025, unknown persons broke into his house by damaging the locks and stole ornaments. Accordingly, FIR No.171/2025 U/S 305 BNS was registered at Police Station R.S. Pura, and investigation was initiated.
A special police team led by SHO R S Pura,Inspector R.S.Parihar under the supervision of SDPO R S Pura & SP headquarters Jammu,using technical assistance and reliable inputs, apprehended the culprits identified as Satnam Singh S/o Des Raj R/o Mandli Phagwara, District Nawashehar, Punjab and his wife Kuljit Kour W/o Satnam Singh R/o Bagga Marh, Tehsil R.S. Pura, District Jammu. On sustained questioning, they confessed to their involvement.
At their disclosure, the stolen property was recovered, including 03 pairs of gold earrings, 01 pair of silver bangles, 01 pair of silver anklets (Jhanjar), and 01 silver chain.
Further investigation is underway to ascertain their involvement in other similar offences.
