AYUSH Kishtwar hosts iconic yoga session at Gulab Garh ahead of IDY 2022
KISHTWAR, JUNE 06: As per the guidelines of Ministry of AYUSH Government of India and in compliance to the directions of Director AYUSH J&K, Dr. Mohan Singh and District Nodal AYUSH Kishtwar Dr. Taraq Hussain, Department of Ayush Kishtwar today organized another Iconic Yoga session prior to the final event of 8th International Day of Yoga-2022.
A mega event of Yoga was organised at Himalayan Culture High School Gulabgarh wherein about 210 students along with staff and general public participated.
Dr. Deepak Tickoo, Medical officer AYUSH H&WC Gulabgarh along with Dr. Tenzen Wangchuk Medical Officer and Ravail Singh Sr. Pharmacist demonstrated various yoga asanas and pranayamas beneficial for health and general wellness.
They also enlightened the students and general public with the historical concept of adapting yoga in their daily routine and its role in attaining good health standards.
It was the third of the 7 iconic Yoga sessions to be conducted by Department of AYUSH Kishtwar in collaboration with different government and private institutions, schools, colleges, armed forces, battalions etc. before the final celebration of 8th International Day of Yoga-2022.
In addition to that, the Department of AYUSH Kishtwar hosted numerous health check-up cum awareness camps in the schools, colleges, private institutions from time to time under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsava for the last one year.
