Awareness Camp on Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan

DODA, OCTOBER 15: An awareness camp on Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan was organized for students to mark 5 Years of the anti-drug campaign (One Sankalp) by the Mission Shakti – Sankalp Hub for Empowerment of Women, Social Welfare Department.
The interactive session was held at Chenab Valley Public School.
The session focused on spreading awareness about the ill effects of substance abuse and how teenagers are the most vulnerable group targeted by various networks and peer influences.
Students were educated about different forms of addiction such as tobacco, alcohol, drugs and other harmful substances that destroy physical health, mental peace and family life.
The team sensitized students about how drug peddlers and antisocial groups often trap youngsters through peer pressure, social media influence or false promises. Participants were urged to remain alert, say no to any form of substance use and report such activities to responsible authorities.
All participants took the Nasha Mukt Bharat pledge to contribute towards making India a drug-free nation.
Students were also encouraged to take part in the Nasha Mukt Bharat Quiz to test their knowledge and strengthen their commitment to the cause.
In addition, awareness was imparted about Pre-Matric and Post-Matric SC Scholarships, where students from Scheduled Caste categories were guided about eligibility criteria, benefits and the online application process.
The event concluded with a strong message “Say No to Drugs, Yes to Dreams”.
