Attari-Wagah border crossing between India and Pakistan fully closed

The Attari-Wagah border crossing between India and Pakistan was fully closed on Thursday after a surge in cross-border movement over the past week. This followed the Indian governmentโs directive for all Pakistani nationals holding short-term visas to exit the country in response to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, according to sources.
Two sources confirmed that the border was completely shut, and no individuals crossed between the two nations on Thursday.
On Wednesday alone, 125 Pakistani citizens departed India via the Attari-Wagah border, bringing the total number of Pakistani nationals who have left in the past week to 911.
