Armed Forces Flag Day observed with respect, gratitude in Doda

DODA, DECEMBER 11: Zilla Sainik Welfare Officer Doda, Wg Cdr Tirath Singh (Retd) along with his team observed Armed Forces Flag Day with great respect and patriotic spirit.
As part of the commemoration, the team pinned the Armed Forces Flag to Deputy Commissioner, Harvinder Singh; SSP Sandeep Kumar Mehta; ACR Ashraf Pervez; CPO Manesh Kumar Manhas and Accounts Officer, Sameer.
The gesture served as a mark of gratitude to the valour, dedication and sacrifices of the Indian Armed Forces.
During the event, the officers were briefed about the significance of Armed Forces Flag Day, a day dedicated to honouring serving personnel, veterans, martyrs and their families. The team highlighted that contributions collected through the Flag Day Fund support the welfare of war widows, disabled soldiers and retired defence personnel.
They also emphasized the importance of public participation to ensure sustainable support for ex-servicemen and their dependents.
The event reinforced Doda’s dedication to supporting serving personnel, veterans and their families, while encouraging citizens to actively participate in the Armed Forces Flag Day campaign.
