Calls for mass spreading awareness about Aadhaar updation
UDHAMPUR, APRIL 28: Additional Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Joginder Singh Jasrotia today chaired the meeting of the District Level Aadhaar Monitoring Committee (DLAMC) here in the Mini Conference Hall to review status of Aadhaar saturation for all age groups and mandatory biometric updation .
PO, ICDS (Nodal Officer), Chief Medical Officer, Chief Education Officer, District Statistic and Evaluation Officer, Superintendent Post Office, Assistant Manager UIDAI, J&K Umair Baba and other officers attended the meeting.
Detailed discussion was held on Aadhaar saturation in all age groups, mandatory biometric update, document update of residents and its verification, Aadhaar linked birth registration, Aadhaar document verification and state portal for verification of above 18 years.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, while taking a detailed review of the statistics of Aadhaar saturation process under different age groups and status of Aadhaar Seva Kendras operating in the district, asked the Programme Officer ICDS, Chief Education Officer and Chief Medical Officer to ensure all children in the age group of 0-5 are enrolled at concerned Anganwadi Centres, Schools and Health intuitions.
For this purpose, he directed the stakeholders to make all the Aadhaar enrolment kits operational. He stressed upon the officers to generate maximum awareness among the people regarding the mandatory biometric updation of children above the specific age for its diversified benefit. He also called upon the general public for document updation who have not updated Aadhaar in the last 10 years.
The ADC also asked the Officers to monitor progress of Aadhaar registrations on a daily basis.
It was also briefed in the meeting that document update of residents who have not updated Aadhaar in the last 10 years is mandatory and special centers are established for the said purpose in the district.
While briefing the meeting, the nodal officer Aadhaar, (PO ICDS) said that special Aadhaar enrolment counters are established in main health institutions of the District to ensure Aadhaar registration/enrolment facility for new born babies so that all new born are registered at well time to push the saturation process.
