Ramban, September 23: In a distressing incident, authorities discovered two police personnel dead inside their vehicle at Ziarat Morh in the Sana area of Batote tehsil, Ramban district, Tuesday evening.
Officials reported that locals found the two cops unconscious in a Fiat Linea, bearing registration number JK-19/5299, around 8:30 PM. Despite immediate transport to the District Hospital Ramban, they were pronounced dead on arrival by medical staff.
The deceased have been identified as Head Constable Farid Ahmed, designated with No. 408/Rbn, and Selection Grade Constable Muhammad Yaqoob, identified with No. 309/Rbn. Both men hailed from Ramban; Ahmed resided in Bhatti, while Yaqoob lived in Jatgali. Both were assigned duties at the District Police Lines (DPL) in Ramban.
The bodies now rest at the hospital as medical and legal formalities proceed. As investigations commence, authorities are still determining the precise cause and circumstances behind their untimely deaths.
