MVD organises Vigilance Awareness Week event in GDC Samba
RTO Jammu urges youth to become Ambassadors of change for a corruption free India
SAMBA, NOVEMBER 05: In connection with ongoing Vigilance Awareness Week, Motor Vehicle Department Samba today organized an interactive session for students at Government Degree College Samba.
Regional Transport Officer Jammu Ghyanshyam Singh was the chief guest on the occasion. The College Principal, Assistant Regional Transport Officer Samba, Motor Vehicle Inspector besides the college faculty members attended the function.
Speaking on the occasion, the RTO Jammu threw light on various measures being adopted by MVD to incorporate a systematic simplification of procedure for availing different services which in long run will ensure minimal discretion, reduced public interface and ensure transparency and accountability in their functioning. He added that the motive of spreading awareness among the students was to encourage them to become ambassadors of change in the society to weed out all wrong doings from society.
Earlier, the College Principal, Ravinder Tickoo, while appreciating the department for streamlining its services, asked the students to make all out efforts to sensitize the people in their native areas to make a corruption free and prosperous society. A demo regarding online services of the Motor Vehicle Department was also presented by MVI Samba. Welcome address and vote of Thanks was presented by ARTO Samba.
