Kathua Admin hosts 3-day district-level training for census field functionaries
Charge Officers acquainted to procedures, roles, responsibilities
KATHUA, MARCH 16: A three-day district-level training programme on House Listing and Housing Census (HLO) for the upcoming Census of India 2027 commenced today at the Conference Hall of the DC Office complex Kathua.
The training programme is being conducted under the close supervision of Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Sharma, who is also Principal Census Officer. The Directorate of Census Operations Jammu and Kashmir has coordinated the event.
Addressing the participants, the DC highlighted the significance of the census exercise and stressed the need for effective coordination among Charge Level Officers and census field functionaries for the smooth and successful conduct of Census 2027.
The training sessions are being imparted to the participants by officers and officials from the Directorate of Census Operations, J&K. The curriculum covers key aspects of the census process including an overview of Census 2027, role and responsibilities of census functionaries, legal provisions, fund management, manpower planning, publicity activities and important census procedures and definitions.
The participants are also being provided hands-on training on the Census Management and Monitoring System, including user registration and operational modules to facilitate efficient monitoring and management of census-related activities.
ADC Vishavjeet Singh, District Statistical Officer Sidharth Anand, District Informatics Officer NIC Shubam Singh, besides Tehsildars, Executive Officers and other staff associated with the forthcoming census exercise are participating in the training programme.
