SDM Khansahib reviews Restoration of Essential Services in Snowfall-Affected areas

BUDGAM, JANUARY 28: Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Khansahib, Jahangir Ahmad Giri, today visited the snowfall-affected areas of Gurwaith and Lanilab to assess the ground situation and review issues faced by the local population in the aftermath of the recent snowfall.
During the visit, the SDM took stock of the major damage to the PHE water supply pipeline in the area, which had disrupted drinking water supply.
Acting promptly on his directions, engineers and field staff of the Jal Shakti Department worked relentlessly and repaired the damaged pipeline within hours, ensuring swift restoration of water supply to the affected localities.
The SDM also inspected the Health Sub-Centre at Lanilab, where a doctor and one paramedical staff member were found absent from duty. The matter was immediately brought to the notice of the concerned authorities for necessary action, underscoring the administration’s commitment to accountability and efficient public service delivery.
The visit reflects the proactive approach of the district administration in ensuring timely restoration of essential services and maintaining accountability in public institutions, particularly during adverse weather conditions.
