DC Rajouri appreciates efforts of CBC in spreading awareness

RAJOURI, JANUARY 28: An awareness programme on Bhartiya Nyaya Samhita-2023 (BNS-23), VB-G RAM G Act 2025, Swachh Bharat Mission, Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, Mission LiFE and other allied Centrally Sponsored Schemes was organized by Central Bureau of Communication Rajouri, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India. The programme was organized here at Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School.
Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma; Director Central Bureau of Communication, J&K and Ladakh Ghulam Abbas; Deputy Director Central Bureau of Communication, J&K and Ladakh Ayushi Puri graced the occasion with their presence.
Principal host school Mohammad Muslim Wani, BDO Manjakote Shoib Aslam; Block Officer Wild Life Division, Rajouri & Poonch Mohd Mubarak; Farah Jabeen from Police Department and Vice Principal Fazal Hussain, besides resource persons from the schemes implementation Departments were also present.
Seminar, Drawing Competition, Shramdaan, plantation of saplings, donation of dustbins, Open Quiz and Cultural programmes were the main attractions of the day.
The Deputy Commissioner, in his address, said these kind of awareness programmes on the schemes and programmes of Government of India should be organized on regular intervals so that the general public especially in the far-flung boarder areas like Rajouri get to know about the benefits of these schemes. He highlighted the benefits of the schemes like Mission LiFE, Swachhta, VB-G RAM G Act, 2025, PM Awas Yojna and other allied schemes.
He hailed Director CBC J&K and Ladakh for his outstanding contribution to the field of Media and Communication. He also honoured Ayushi Puri, Deputy Director, who had come to Rajouri to attend the awareness programme.
The DC also planted saplings in the premises of GBHSS in presence of the CBC Director and Deputy Director and the school Principal.
Director Ghulam Abbas, in his address, said the government is working towards the upliftment of the poor in the country through its various centrally sponsored schemes and programmes like PM Awas Yojna, PM Jan Arogya Yojna, Ujjwala Yojna, PM Grib Kalyan Anna Yojna, Shishu Janani Surakha Yojna, Poshan Abhiyan, Jan Aushadhi Kendras, Khelo India, Kisan Samman Nidhi, DBT, Saubhagya Yojna, Har Ghar Jal, SBM, KCC, Stand up India, Start up India, Kaushal Vikas, Mudra Loans, etc. “With these initiatives the government has brought a revolution in the country” he added. He also administered the Swachhata Pledge.
Deputy Director Ayushi Puri also addressed the gathering and urged the participants to know the schemes and spread the word regarding the benefits among common and needy masses.
The host School Principal Mohammad Muslim Wani said the three new criminal laws-Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita and the Bhartiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023 are an endeavour to make the criminal justice system more accessible, accountable, credible and justice driven.
A drawing competition was organized in which 25 students participated. Tasvee Singh stood First, Kartik Dev stood second while third position was bagged by Amit Bhaggal. The Students also participated in Shramdaan (Cleanliness Drive) in the school campus.
Earlier, Vice Principal, Fazal Hussin delivered the welcome address. Open Quiz was conducted by Vijay Mattoo from CBC Rajouri.
Theme based cultural items were presented by artists of M/s Vishal Gupta Productions, Jammu a Private Registered Troupe of CBC J&K. All the guests and participants were honoured suitably by CBC Rajouri.
