Ajit Pawar Plane Crash: DGCA Confirms No Survivors

Mumbai, Jan 28: An aircraft carrying Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar crashed while attempting a landing at Baramati airport, killing all five people on board, a senior official of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said on Wednesday.

The Learjet 45 aircraft was carrying Ajit Pawar, two accompanying staff members and two crew members at the time of the accident. Those on board included Pawar’s personal security officer, an attendant, the pilot-in-command and the first officer.

According to preliminary information shared by the DGCA, the aircraft crash-landed at the airport and none of the occupants survived the incident.

The DGCA official said a team of investigators has been dispatched to the crash site to assess the circumstances that led to the accident. Further details are awaited as authorities begin a detailed probe into the cause of the crash.
