Block Diwas held at Panchayat Lower Jandial-Mathwar

JAMMU, JANUARY 14: To strengthen grassroots level governance, the District Administration Jammu organised a Block Diwas programme at Panchayat Lower Jandial in Block Mathwar.
The outreach programme was presided over by Additional District Development Commissioner, Sher Singh.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents, former Sarpanches and other prominent citizens of the area. During the proceedings, public representatives and residents raised various issues and demands related to the augmentation of basic amenities, including water supply, road connectivity, power infrastructure and the implementation of social welfare schemes.
The ADDC gave a patient hearing to the grievances raised by the public and assured them that all genuine demands would be examined on priority. He issued on-the-spot directions to the concerned line departments to resolve issues that could be addressed immediately.
Officers from various departments were present at the venue and provided on-the-spot clarifications regarding ongoing government schemes.
Several issues were resolved on the spot, providing immediate relief to residents.
The programme concluded with an assurance that the District Administration remains committed to equitable development and transparent governance.
Speaking on the occasion, the chair emphasised that the Block Diwas mechanism serves as an effective platform for direct interaction between the administration and the common masses.
The event was attended by senior officers, including Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ansuya Jamwal, Chief Planning Officer, Ajaypal Singh, Block Development Officer Mathwar, Ifroz Rather and Tehsildar Bhalwal Monika Sharma along with other field functionaries.
