Ex-servicemen felicitated at Kupwara on 10th Veterans Day

KUPWARA, JANUARY 13: On the eve of 10th Veterans Day 2026, a felicitation programme was organised by Zila Sainik Welfare Office Kupwara at D.C Office Complex Kupwara.
The programme was organised with the objective of acknowledging the role of Ex-servicemen in nation building and continued service to the society even after retirement from the Armed Forces.
The felicitation ceremony was graced by Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara, Shrikant Suse in presence of Sainik Welfare Officer, Col SS Raja (Retd), who felicitated them with certificate of appreciation and mementos, acknowledging their invaluable contribution to the country and society.
The DC appealed the ex-servicemen to take benefit under various centrally sponsored schemes by visiting nearest CSC or Centre of excellence established at D.C Office Complex Kupwara.
On the occasion, Gallantry Award Winners were honoured for their exceptional courage, bravery and distinguished service to the nation and also prominent Ex-servicemen who have been actively working and contributing to nation building.
