DHJ sensitises farmers to JKCIP initiatives, advanced horticulture practices

POONCH, JANUARY 06: The Director Horticulture Jammu (DHJ), Gul Syed attended an awareness camp organized under the Jammu & Kashmir Competitive Horticulture Implementation Project (JKCIP) at Narol Top, Zone Mendhar, Poonch.
The Director interacted with farmers and orchardists, highlighting the objectives of JKCIP and encouraging the adoption of modern horticultural practices for sustainable income enhancement.
Later, the Director held on interaction with local progressive orchardists at Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Rajouri. The interaction focused on sharing experiences, addressing field-level issues and promoting advanced horticulture practices. The programme was attended by the Chief Horticulture Officer, Susheel Anugral; Assistant Director Horticulture Jammu, Sunil Gupta; KVK Head, Dr Arvind Kumar Isher; District Horticulture Officer and others.
The Director emphasized the department’s commitment towards strengthening horticulture development through farmer-centric initiatives and effective implementation of government schemes.
