KVIB Ramban organises EAP at Sangaldan to promote self-employment among youth

RAMBAN, DECEMBER 19: Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB) Ramban today organised an Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme (EAP) at Sangaldan with the objective of generating awareness among rural unemployed youth about self-employment opportunities under various Government-sponsored schemes.
The programme was attended by Director SBI RSETI Harvinder Singh as the Chief Guest. District Officer KVIB Farooq Ahmed Baba, Loan Manager J&K Bank Sangaldan, Field Officer, KVIB, and Field Officer, DIC were also present during the programme.
During the session, the Field Officer DIC apprised the participants about Government schemes such as PMEGP and PM Vishwakarma, highlighting their objectives, eligibility criteria and benefits.
District Officer KVIB educated the participants in detail about PMEGP and JKREGP, focusing on subsidy provisions and the process of availing benefits. The Loan Manager J&K Bank briefed the participants about loan-related formalities, documentation requirements and applicable interest rates.
Addressing the gathering, the Director RSETI encouraged the participants to avail the benefits of Government-sponsored schemes, become self-reliant, and contribute towards nation-building by becoming job creators rather than job seekers.
Earlier, Senior Faculty SBI RSETI Amrik Singh Raju informed the participants about various skill development and entrepreneurship training programmes being conducted by RSETI for rural unemployed youth, aimed at enhancing employability and promoting sustainable self-employment.
The local people of Sangaldan expressed gratitude to the KVIB Department for organising such a beneficial programme for the welfare and empowerment of youth. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Senior Faculty, SBI RSETI Ramban.
