J-K Police Arrest Five in Marh Firing Incident

Jammu, Dec 13: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday arrested five persons in connection with a recent firing incident in the Marh area on the outskirts of Jammu city, officials said.
The arrests were made following a complaint filed by Jatinder Singh alias Rajan, a resident of Marh, who reported that some people had opened fire in the area last month. Based on the complaint, Police Station Domana registered a case and initiated an investigation.
A police team carried out multiple raids at different locations and arrested all five accused. They have been identified as Ripu Daman Singh Jamwal, Akshay Sharma, Vikrant Kesar, Rohan Goswami, and Abhinesh Singh.
During the operation, police recovered a country-made pistol allegedly used in the incident, one live round, one fired cartridge, four sharp-edged weapons, and two vehicles, including a scooty and a motorcycle, which were reportedly used during the crime.
Police said the arrests have helped restore a sense of security among residents of the Marh area.
