Srinagar Police Raid Homes of 4 Individuals Linked to JeI, Hurriyat

Srinagar, Oct 13: Srinagar Police conducted search operations at multiple locations linked to individuals allegedly associated with the banned Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI) and Hurriyat Conference.

According to an official statement, searches were carried out at the residences of Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat of Batamaloo, Ashraf Sehrai of Baghat, Mehrajuddin Kalwal of Hamza Colony Kanihama, and Zameer Ahmad Sheikh of Gulshan Nagar, Nowgam.

The police said the searches were conducted in accordance with legal procedures, and various materials, including literature and photographs allegedly linked to banned separatist outfits, were seized.

The operation is part of a broader campaign to dismantle the terror and separatist ecosystem in the Valley by targeting its support structures and networks.
