5 Rescued After Landslide Hits Ratle Power Project Sheds in Kishtwar

Jammu, Sept 4: A landslide struck temporary sheds at the Ratle power project site in Dhrabshala area of Kishtwar district on Thursday, trapping five persons, officials said.
The sheds, used as washrooms, were hit by the sudden slide. All five trapped persons were rescued, with three shifted to GMC Doda for treatment. Officials confirmed their condition is stable.
Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Pankaj Sharma, supervised the rescue operation. Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh also lauded the swift response of the district administration.
“Must appreciate the prompt action of the administration for rescuing the five persons who could have otherwise been fatal victims of the landslide,” Singh posted on X.
Authorities confirmed that the injured are receiving medical care and necessary assistance.
