District admin Doda organizes painting & sketch competition at District Library

DODA, AUGUST 13: The District Administration Doda, under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh, organised a Painting and Sketch Making Competition at the District Library, Doda.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from student artists across the district, eager to showcase their creativity and vision for a better society. District Social Welfare Officer/District Information Officer Doda, Tariq Parveez Qazi, was also present to encourage the young participants.
The competition revolved around two meaningful themes – Patriotic Spirit (featuring Freedom Fighters, events from the Freedom Struggle, and Independence Day) and Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (Drug-Free India Campaign). These themes were carefully chosen to instil national pride among the youth and raise awareness about the dangers of substance abuse, inspiring students to uphold the nation’s values and work towards a healthier, drug-free future.
A large number of students from both government and private schools participated, presenting captivating artworks that reflected their artistic skills, historical knowledge, and commitment to social causes. Their paintings not only celebrated India’s glorious heritage but also carried strong messages against drug abuse, combining creativity with social responsibility.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC appreciated the efforts of the participants and highlighted the significance of such competitions in nurturing young talent. He encouraged the students to continue using their art as a powerful medium for spreading awareness and fostering positive change in society.
