Police Station Bishnah, Jammu arrested one drug peddlers and recovered 16 grams of heroin(chita)

Continuing its crackdown on drug trafficking, Police Station Bishnah has recovered 16 grams of heroin(Chita) like substance from one individual known to be involved in narcotic smuggling.

On July 3, 2025, during the investigation of FIR No. 63/2025 under sections 8, 21, and 22 of the NDPS Act, a police team from Bishnah recovered 16 grams of heroin from Mohd. Nazir son of Mohd. Yousuf, resident of Dramthal Narsoo Nalla, Udhampur.A/P Sikanderpur kothey Bishnah.

The offender, was apprehended at Sikanderpur kothey as part of the ongoing efforts to curb the drug menace in the region.

Further investigation is underway to identify the source of the contraband and uncover the broader network involved.

The arrest and recoveries were made by the team of PS Bishnah led by SHO PS Bishnah,Inspector Sh.Sushil Choudhary under the close supervision of SDPO R.S. Pura & SP Headquarters Jammu
