Udhampur Police Seals Ankush Medical Shop in Garhi — 6th Shop Sealed in 2025 for Illegal Sale of Drugs

Continuing its crackdown on the illegal sale of controlled substances. District Police Udhampur in coordination with the Assistant Controller Drugs Udhampur sealed Ankush Medical Hall in Garhi, Udhampur for failing to maintain proper records and selling drugs without valid prescriptions as mandated by law.

During the inspection, the team recovered & seized 26 strips of Pregabalin capsules found in the possession of the proprietor namely Ankush Sharma S/O Govind Ram R/O Garhi without any corresponding sales or purchase records or valid medical prescriptions.

It is Pertinent to mention that, Including today’s case, Udhampur Police has sealed a total of six medical shops for non-compliance with drug control norms since January- 2025.

District Police Udhampur has issued a stern warning to all medical establishments to strictly adhere to the regulations concerning the sale of controlled drugs. Strict legal action will be taken against those found violating these norms
