2-day Kisan Mela organised under MIDH at Ramgarh

SAMBA, DECEMBER 09: Two-day Kisan Mela cum Workshop was inaugurated today under the Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) here at Rishi Farms Ramgarh.
The programme was chaired by Member of Legislative Assembly, Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal in presence of Ex-BDC Chairman and Members of the District Development Council.
Chief Agriculture Officer Rakesh Khajuria, Head KVK Samba, District Agriculture Officer, SDAO and other government functionaries were also present.
The guests inspected the stalls put up by different wings of the Agriculture and Allied Departments. Agriculture experts interacted with the farmers and elaborated on a wide range of government schemes, including initiatives for crop diversification, horticulture development, farm mechanisation and farmer-centric welfare programmes.
The MLA appreciated the well-organised fair and lauded the efforts of the Agriculture Department for its continuous initiatives aimed at improving the livelihood of farmers and promoting sustainable agricultural practices in the region.
“Such events help create awareness among farmers about modern technologies and government support systems,” the MLA remarked while interacting with the media.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from farmers, showcasing the growing interest in advanced agricultural practices and departmental schemes.
