13-Year-Old Afghan Boy Lands in Delhi by Hiding in Plane’s Landing Gear

New Delhi, Sep 23: In a shocking incident, a 13-year-old Afghan boy managed to travel from Kabul to Delhi by hiding inside the landing gear compartment of a KAM Airlines flight, official sources said.

The incident came to light around 11 am on Sunday when flight RQ-4401 landed at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport after a two-hour journey from Kabul. The boy, however, was repatriated the same day on the return flight, sources confirmed.

According to officials, airline authorities alerted the airport security control room after the boy was found roaming near the aircraft upon landing. He was later apprehended by airline staff and handed over to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), which brought him to Terminal 3 for questioning.

The boy, a native of Kunduz city, told officials that he had sneaked into Kabul airport and hid inside the rear central landing gear compartment of the aircraft purely out of “curiosity.”

Following questioning, he was sent back to Afghanistan on the same flight, which departed around 12:30 pm.

During security checks, airline officials discovered a small red-colored speaker inside the landing gear compartment, apparently carried by the boy. The aircraft was later declared safe after thorough inspection and anti-sabotage checks.
