%DC Kathua reviews status of #Jal Shakti, #PMGSY projects

 Calls for full potential usage of existing water supply schemes

       KATHUA, MAY 10: Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rahul Pandey today chaired a meeting to review the status of projects being executed by different wings of Jal Shakti department in different parts of the district.

At the outset, Superintendent Engineer, Hydraulic gave a presentation on the working of PHE (Civil), PHE (Mech) and PHE (Ground Water), Irrigation and Flood Control functioning under the umbrella of Jal Shakti department. 

The DC was apprised that the district faces a    shortfall of drinking water and to meet the gap, the department has proposed 299 retro-filling schemes   for the current financial year under Jal Jeevan Mission.
