On the directions of Honourable Chief Minister @OmarAbdullah, Advisor to Chief Minister @nasirsogami today conducted an extensive review of major infrastructure projects under Jammu Smart City Limited and instructed officials to expedite their completion well before the upcoming Amarnath Yatra.

Accompanied by Dr. @Devansh_IAS, Director Projects Sunil Thusu and other senior officials, the Advisor visited two flagship initiatives the PM e-Bus Sewa Depot and the Waste to Wonder Park.

Mr Wani inspected the TATA e-Bus Depot being developed under the FAME-II scheme at an estimated cost of Rs 16 crore. He was briefed on the ongoing works for the PM e-Bus Sewa project, which aims to provide modern, eco-friendly public transport to the people of Jammu.

Lauding the progress, the Advisor emphasized the importance of early commissioning of the project and said Smart City initiatives are steadily transforming Jammu into a cleaner and greener city.

โ€œAll developmental projects must be expedited in mission mode,โ€ Wani directed the officials.

The Advisor later visited the Waste to Wonder Park, a unique project being developed at a cost of Rs 11 crore. He expressed satisfaction over the artistic monuments being crafted from recycled waste material and interacted with the artisans and workers on site.

Congratulating the Jammu Smart City team, Wani described the park as an innovative attraction that will promote tourism, environmental awareness, and recreation.

Officials informed him that the project has achieved nearly 80% physical progress and was originally slated for completion by end of June 2026. However, the Advisor instructed them to accelerate work and complete the park before the Amarnath Yatra so that pilgrims and tourists can also benefit from it.

The Waste to Wonder Park will showcase 14 replica monuments made entirely from scrap and recycled materials including 7 international monuments, 5 national landmarks, and 2 representing Uttar Pradesh. Once ready, it will be the first such park in Jammu, serving as a major educational and recreational hub for school children, locals, and visitors while spreading the message of waste recycling and sustainability.

Reiterating the governmentโ€™s commitment, Nasir Aslam Wani said all efforts are being made to make Jammu a modern, sustainable and citizen friendly urban centre with world class infrastructure and public amenities.
